Afghan army cadets killed in attack on security forces

Scores of Afghans got killed on Friday after two separate attacks on mosques.

"I was in the mosque bathroom when I heard a blast".

Tuesday: Taliban unleashed a wave of attacks across Afghanistan, targeting police compounds and government facilities with suicide bombers, killing at least 74 people.

They include a Taliban bomb-and-gun attack in the province of Kandahar that killed at least 43 Afghan soldiers on Thursday.

Latest suicide bombing kills 15 army trainees in Kabul, the seventh major assault in the war-torn country since Tuesday.

S. Korea and USA nuclear envoys stress worldwide coordination over North Korea
"The US should expect that it would face unimaginable strike at an unimaginable time", the Korean Central News Agency warned. Russian Federation and China have the closest diplomatic relations with the insular communist state of North Korea .

Security forces blocked the road leading to the scene of the attack as firefighters hosed down the asphalt.

The spate of deadly attacks underscores deteriorating security across Afghanistan as the resurgent Taliban step up their attacks on security installations with devastating effect and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) armed group continue to target Shia mosques. "This attack in #Kabul shows the insurgents are desperate and can not win" against Afghanistan's security and defence forces, it said. As per initial reports, no casualty was reported in the attack.

Almost 200 people, mostly security forces, have died in separate militant attacks across Afghanistan this week, making it one of the worst in recent months.

The militants razed the base in the Chashmo area of Maiwand district to the ground, according to the defence ministry.

This August, a similar attack in the same mosque claimed by pro-Daesh militants had killed 50 people.
