Dovizioso dominates wet M'sia MotoGP practice

Marquez, who won this race on his way to a second title in 2014, was fifth fastest overall 0.279secs down.

Marquez struggled to find the right set-up for his Honda to suit the Sepang circuit through practice, but began to make headway in the final session - which he topped - just prior to qualifying.

Marquee, who leads the championship by 33 points from Andrea Dovizioso with two rounds to go, will start at his second-worst position of his MotoGP career, after he crashed in turn 15 during his first flying lap.

"We are looking to win the race and then we'll see what happens with Marc and the other riders".

Ducati's Alvaro Bautista of Spain rode his machine to the second fastest time, posting 2:00.742, while Yamaha rider Johann Zarco of France was third fastest. I cannot predict the race tomorrow, but there are many riders who can do faster laps.

"I had to take my second bike but I didn't feel ideal on it, so I did a la that was good but not good enough", said Marquez, still not content with this qualifying position.

Colin Kaepernick is shopping a book
Kaepernick said he did not stand for the national anthem because he believes there is inequality and police brutality in America. Because he didn't receive the formal invitation, it seems Kaepernick opted not to attend, though that is not certain.

"I'm very happy with this pole, which is our third this year".

"We'll try and have a good race".

Pedrosa also said, all the riders still have a chance to become champion when the race takes place at Sepang Circuit on Sunday (29/10/2017) although he will start the race from the first position.

Row three is occupied by Alex Rins and Andrea Iannone, who line up alongside (having qualified just behind) seventh-placed Marquez. "If you don't have a good pace, it's no good thinking about race strategies and we were fast in all the conditions, especially in the dry and with used tires like this afternoon in FP4".

"In the second row, me, Maverick, Lorenzo and also for sure Marquez can fight anyway, so a lot of riders in front that are very strong".

The Spaniard however did not fall off his bike as the slow run-offs outside the confines of the track were to help him reduce his speed.
