Get the first look at Jodie Whittaker as 'Doctor Who'

The BBC posted our first look at Jodie Whittaker's costume for her - and womankind's - inaugural Doctor Who voyage.

She wears high-waisted pair of teal pants, with yellow braces; a navy top underneath with coloured stripes running along the front.

She will make her first onscreen appearance as the Doctor in this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special, Twice Upon a Time, on BBC One. Given the fact that Jodie Whittaker's Doctor was wearing an entirely different outfit in her debut, it's possible this getup isn't a permanent thing.

Fans have already started dissecting the look - which also features a rainbow-stripe trim to the pale-coloured coat.

Details of the new series are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being, but it has been announced that Jodie's Doctor will have three companions in the TARDIS this time around.

Unruh recently tweeted about the allegations after the widespread accusations against prominent movie executive Harvey Weinstein . He ran to his grandmother's house on Nantucket, and then called his mother, who was in Boston at the time.

Her clothing evokes the outfits sported by actor Peter Davison, the fifth person to play "Doctor Who", and Tom Baker, who was the fourth person cast in the role.

Some quick background information: William Hartnell was the first man to play The Doctor when the series premiered in 1963.

The image gained plenty of reactions on the Doctor Who Facebook page and Twitter, with some decrying it as ugly and ridiculous, while others thought it represented the character well. She has a long jacket (hello, David Tennant); high-waisted trousers (very Patrick Troughten); suspenders (mighty Matt Smith); and a set of stripes across her shirt that could be a subtle tribute to Tom Baker's iconic long scarf.

Yup, whilst we'll have to wait and see how the new interior will appear, this newly-released picture also includes a look at the Doctor's fabled time machine.
