League denies report Roger Goodell 'furious' at Jerry Jones, other NFL owners

Jones wants the deal to have less guarantees and more incentives, per a source.

Needless to say, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has publicly voiced his displeasure with how NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has handled his running back's case.

The New York Times on Wednesday cited three people as saying Jerry Jones had hired a lawyer and threatened to sue the NFL and some team owners to stop contract-extension negotiations for the league's commissioner, Roger Goodell.

Lockhart said "certainly neither the compensation committee or the league has been made aware of a lawsuit being filed".

Man, does that feel good. Per the New York Times, it was a call that ended up backfiring on Jones as the owners not only failed to see his perspective but chose to give Jones even less power than before.

The whole thing, according to a report from Seth Wickersham and Don Van Natta on ESPN, has left Goodell "furious".

Uber Elevate by 2020
In April 2017, the company announced plans to launch a flying taxi programme - dubbed UberAIR - in Dubai and Dallas by 2020 . Not content to flood city streets with self-driving vehicles , tech company Uber is now looking to the sky as well.

With several owners already siding with Jones (though not enough to form a majority), Goodell should be happy with just about whatever he gets, frankly.

Jones has been at the center of multiple National Football League controversies over the past few months.

The deal would extend Goodell's term through 2024.

Ezekiel Elliot has another hearing today at to consider his appeal for suspension and whether or not he will play this Sunday.

Though the sources didn't know that person's identity, the fact that Jones might be teeing up his own candidate has lost him potential support in ousting Goodell. Although, one could argue that Goodell is making more than his fair share, with the most recent reports indicating he's making over $34 million a year. While ESPN reported that multiple owners had expressed frustration that the league had not mandated that players stand for the national anthem, some also felt the talks between the league and the players were beneficial.
