Hulu video app is now available for the Nintendo Switch

You'll be able to enjoy both the traditional on-demand subscription as well as Hulu with Live TV plan and watch live and on-demand programming from more than 50 of the top news, sports and entertainment channels including all five of the major US broadcast networks. Hulu (with live TV) is the first USA streaming service to be released on the Switch. Where it gets hard, is that Hulu itself requires a US-registered IP address and subscription to actually make use of. While Nintendo did not state that such services would never be available, they did deflect questions regarding streaming apps on the Nintendo Switch. Players will, of course, still need to purchase a Hulu subscription in order to use the app, with prices ranging anywhere from $7.99 to $39.99. All other consoles (even other Nintendo consoles) have video streaming apps, but for an unknown reason the Switch didn't have any streaming apps, Hulu is Switch first streaming app in the USA. This isn't some weird smartphone port with most of the game replaced with some free-to-play mechanics. Nintendo promised we would see streaming apps and it seems like that promise is not a lie.

After months of waiting, US-based Nintendo Switch owners can finally download the Hulu streaming app on the device. However, Nintendo made it clear that its intention with the Switch was to have games be at the forefront of the console. It's an inferior version for a much higher price than you can get the PS4, Xbox One, or PC version for. It does, however, set a good precedent for other more-worldwide services such as Netflix to come to the console soon.

With Hulu now officially available on the Switch, Nintendo appears to be ready to start offering video streaming services.

Opera, tea and grandchildren bring Xi and Trump together
The Trumps walked alongside Xi and his wife through the historic site and admired artifacts from centuries' past. Trump may find himself on the back foot, says Matthew Pennington of the Associated Press .

The latest Nintendo console is on course to have outsold the Wii by March 2023 according to market analyst firm Nomura Securities.

At $59.99 Doom for the Nintendo Switch is somewhat baffling.
