Second woman comes forward to say Al Franken inappropriately touched her

Al Franken of inappropriate touching, saying Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 that he put his hand on her bottom as they posed for a picture at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010, after he had begun his career in the Senate.

Franken, a Democrat, told CNN he didn't remember taking the photo with Menz, but said in a statement to the network that he feels badly that she felt disrespected.

"The first thing I want to do is apologize, to Leeann, to everyone else who was part of that tour, to everyone who has worked for me, to everyone I represent, and to everyone who counts on me to be an ally and supporter and champion of women", stated Franken in a statement.

According to CNN, Lindsay Menz, 33, said Franken grabbed her buttocks in 2010 while the two were posing together for a photo at a state fair in Minnesota.

Some had hoped Franken might make the Democratic Party's 2020 presidential list.

This past weekend, SNL went after Franken during a Weekend Update segment on sexual harassment.

Four people were also killed over the weekend, while an opposition lawmaker was shot in the leg during scuffles with the police. Odinga is now asking for worldwide intervention as violent protests continue.

A spokesman for Franken told The Minneapolis Star-Tribune on Saturday that the senator was not going to resign, but the sexual assault claims have made him do "a lot of reflecting" on his actions. "I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected".

"To me, that sounds like the language of somebody who may have actually done this so many times, that it's normalized", said Biro. In our experience, we know Al as a devoted and dedicated family man, a wonderful comedic performer, and an honorable public servant. Since then, a second woman has alleged that the senator inappropriately touched her during a photo-op.

"It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek", she said".

CNN reported that Menz shared the photo of her and Franken on Facebook that same day, and her sister commented and joked that Menz and Franken weren't two "Bibles width apart".

Sen. Mitch McConnell said last week that the Senate Ethics Committee would launch an investigation into Franken's behavior, and he repeated this again yesterday in the wake of the new allegation by Menz.
