Former Jets CB Darrelle Revis finally finds a new team

Instead of recycling the same guys, the team finally decided to make a move by signing Darrelle Revis.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Chiefs had been trying to sign Revis for much of this season, but the former Jet only just now accepted the offer.

Free agent cornerback Darrelle Revis has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, the team announced Wednesday.

Revis, 32, had been out of work since the Jets released him after last season.

White House turkeys are 'Drumstick' and 'Wishbone'
President Trump says while he's been "very active" in overturning Obama-era policies, revoking turkey pardons won't be among them. Mr Trump praised the turkey he was pardoning, Drumstick, as a "big bird" and played up its hopes for the years to come.

A source close to the deal told NFL Insider Ian Rapport that Revis agreed to a two-year deal that will pay him the league minimum. He still had $6 million left guaranteed from his old contract with the Jets, which will now be slightly reduced by his new deal with Kansas City.

Revis will return to MetLife Stadium on December 3, when the Jets host the Chiefs.

That wasn't the case last year, when Revis said he was "way over" his desired weight after having offseason wrist surgery ahead of a disappointing year with the Jets. Won't be much of a learning curve for Darrelle Revis.

"We're excited to add Darrelle to the roster", Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid said in the statement. "He has experience and familiarity with Bob Sutton's defense, he's a team guy and we feel like a player of his caliber can help our football team". Since then their pass defense, which ranked 18th was average as a unit in 2016, has fallen to 28th this season. Revis also won Super Bowl XLIX with the Patriots.
