In fact, the ASUS Pegasus 4S is the company's first ever smartphone that features an 18:9 display, something which has become a norm among flagship smartphones and mid rangers.

The upcoming Zenfone Max Plus (M1) smartphone is very much similar to the Pegasus 4S in terms of design as well as specifications. The smartphone was spotted on Russian website Helpix.ru hinting at an official launch soon. The display also has a 2.5D curved glass on top. Also, it comes in two variations: 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The phone has 1.5 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit processor with Mali-T860 GPU. The ZenFone Max Plus has a large 4,130mAh battery, which sounds more than sufficient on paper.

There's also dual camera setup on the back, with 16 MP + 8 MP sensors, alongside a fingerprint scanner, with an 8 MP wide-angle sensor on the front (the same as can be found on the Pegasus 4S).

On the connectivity front, you get 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A- GPS, GLONASS, and dual-SIM support.

The Zenfone Max Plus (M1) is backed by a 4130mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 26 hours of talk time on the 3G network and 13 hours of video playback.

Asus has provided a pair of camera sensors on the back of the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) with a primary 16MP and secondary 8MP resolution.

The Zenfone Max Plus (M1) runs ZenUI 4.0 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and will be available in Deep Sea Black, Sunlight Gold and Azure Silver colour options. The availability details for other markets and pricing of the device are still under wraps, however our guess is that the device is likely to be a mid-range model.
