Hit crime series Mindhunter to return for Season 2 on Netflix

"We need to talk to more subjects", reads one on Instagram, accompanied by a brief video teaser. We had suspected this was the case after hearing Netflix commission season two before season one even aired, but this marks the streaming behemoth's first firm word on the matter.

The show is based on John Douglas and Mark Olshaker's nonfiction book "Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit", and stars Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany as Federal Bureau of Investigation agents Holden Ford and Bill Trench, who were pioneers in behavioral profiling during the 1970s.

Netflix has given up thumbs-up to a second season of Mindhunter, the new series starring two-time Tony nominee Jonathan Groff.

He now holds a 113-53 (69-42 Big 12) overall record, which includes going 7-4 in bowl games and a Big 12 championship in 2011. Gundy is the winningest football coach in Oklahoma State history with a 113-53 record.

Starring Jonathan Groff, Anna Torv, and Holt McCallany as every binge-watcher's favorite team of psychopath investigators, Mindhunter was already narratively poised to embark on a second season. The hot new program- which was created by Joe Penhall and co-produced with episodes directed by the legendary David Fincher among others- instantly clicked with fans of intelligent and suspenseful storytelling. The first season of Mindhunter has been Certified Fresh with a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, and was lauded by critics for its reinvention of the crime procedural, when it premiered in October.

Stay tuned to Horror News Network for more details on Season Two of Mindhunter as they break! "MINDHNTER Season 2 is coming". To add an extra chill, the serial killers featured and portrayed on the show are real, and their crimes every bit as haunting as in the series.
