Honor 7X US release date, specs aim to take on OnePlus

The global price of the Honor 7X is 299 Euros. Honor is calling the Honor 7X the "best budget smartphone of 2018", while it is a bit pre-mature for us to agree with Honor there, it is definitely a contender for that title. The phone comes in Black, Blue and Gold colors.

The classic metal design of the Honor 7X is a delight to hold, with its perfectly rounded edges.

Hot on the heels of the mid-range 7X, Honor has announced the Honor View 10, a flagship device that rounds off 2017 with the year's biggest mobile trend, an 18:9 display.

It measures just 6.97mm thick, and the fingerprint sensor has been squeezed underneath the screen.

The talking point however is not the screen or its build, it's what's under the hood. The phone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970 octa-core processor which runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo along with EMUI 8.0. It has 4 x 2.4 GHz A73+ 4 x 1.8 GHz A53 10nm processor + i7 co-processor. The Honor 7X is a successor to Honor 6X smartphone, which was launched in India earlier this year. It also features similar specifications as the Honor 9i, which is priced at Rs 17,999 in India.

Facebook's New Messaging App Hopes to Reach Kids as Young as 6
Messages in the app can't disappear or be hidden either, so parents can still keep tabs on what's being said to their children. Once Messenger Kids has been set up, your child can make video calls and send messages to any of the contacts you've approved.

The rear camera setup on the Honor View 10 sports two sensors - one 16-megapixel RGB sensor and the other a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, complete with an f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, dual-LED flash. There are dual rear cameras (16MP +2MP) with PDAF and portrait mode an 8MP front facing camera also with portrait mode, beauty mode, and amusing filters. Besides, the smartphone has a Hybrid Dual SIM tray, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and NFC. It packs 3340 mAh battery.

Software could be what lets this phone down if you're not a fan of Honor (and Huawei's) EMUI skin. Since the company isn't shy about making comparisons to the $499 OnePlus 5T, we expect the View 10 to launch at a competitive price.

The Honor 7X has been priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 32GB storage variant and Rs. 15,999 for the 64GB storage variant. Apart from the trend of 18:9 display, the device also follows the trend of minimal bezels.

The Honor View 10's also got 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, which can be supplemented with expandable storage thanks to the presence of a microSD card slot. Honor SuperCharge can charge the battery to 50 percent in just 30 minutes while operating at a low temperature and voltage. The selfie camera is 13MP and comes with AI portrait recognition, motion sensing and (for some reason) the ability to change the background of your selfies.
