Foul play suspected in Sydney Loofe's death

It was the last time friends would hear from Loofe, who went on a date with a woman she'd met on Tinder but didn't turn up for work the next day, police say, per the Washington Post. She was reported missing November 16.

Police have said she was last seen the night before in Wilber, after apparently going on a date with Boswell, whom she met through the online dating app Tinder.

Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister told columnists amid a news meeting Tuesday that "examination of advanced confirmation" drove specialists to the female body, which they accept is that of Sydney Loofe.

Without elaborating, Bliemeister said law enforcement does believe there is evidence of foul play and will continue with the search of the area and collecting pathology evidence.

The FBI, Lincoln police and various county sheriffs' offices were involved in the search.

"It's with heavy hearts that we share this most recent update with you all", George and Susie Loofe wrote. May God grant eternal rest unto thee. "We love you Sydney", according to the Finding Sydney Loofe page run by her family. Trail also appears to cover his head, though the camera only ever shows his eyes from the angle that Boswell holds the recorder. She posted a photo and brief message with a heart-eyed emoji, "Ready for my date".

Loofe vanished November 15 after going out with a 23-year-old woman named Bailey Boswell.

Trail and Boswell are "persons of interest" in the case, but neither face charges in the disappearance.

If they want to play, they're going be very vigilant about it and do a good job it. "[But] we have a lot of depth. It's the way we organize the whole program, to play our best in December and January", Harbaugh said.

Bliemeister said the persons of interest remained in custody but had not been charged in the case.

Before they were arrested last week, the pair recorded a freakish video which they posted on the Finding Sydney Loofe Facebook page. This media house does not correct any spelling or grammatical error within press releases and commentaries.

Trail says in the video that he wants to set the record straight, saying that reports that they were not cooperating with the investigation were false. Sydney's cell phone last pinged there.

Authorities have recovered the body of a United States woman whose disappearance after a Tinder date last month triggered a massive search and weird social media posts from two persons of interest in the tragic mystery. They also accused the police of blowing off their calls.

"We're going to be busy for a little while working on it and like I said just to make sure we have everything we need to thoroughly process this", Pullen said. "She was planning on coming home that night".

Bliemiester on Tuesday said investigators have explored the claims in the video extensively.

"We're continuing to speak with Aubrey Trail and we'll continue to do so as long as he's willing", Bliemeister said on Tuesday. They add: 'Our thoughts and prayers are with the Loofe family'.
