'Black Mirror' Season 4 Trailer Reveals Launch Date

We're also quite intrigued by "USS Callister", an episode that promises to give a Black Mirror twist to the classic Star Trek tropes. From the 1960s hairstyles to the Khan-style villain on a planet that looks like a quarry, the Netflix episode looks like a huge wink towards the classic series. For a long time, there have been two camps when it comes to Black Mirror.

"Crocodile" comes from The Road director John Hillcoat, and features some new kind of technology that can allow people to access memories - much like season one's "The Entire History of You". We're also very much looking forward to "Arkangel", which features a story directed by Jodie Foster about the "helicopter parents" of a young daughter and the new technology created to keep her "safe".

In the meantime, another trailer for Thursday's trailer has been released ... Returning lead Claire Dearing is determined not to let that happen.

And in the meantime, there's a new Black Mirror trailer to tide fans over. Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Joe Cole (Peaky Blinders), and George Blagden (Versailles) star in the episode, which is directed by Tim Van Patten (Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones). Regardless of where you sit, Black Mirror has paved the way for countless copycats and revivals, making it a landmark program in its own right. "Metalhead" is a black-and-white episode all about being hunted by robot dogs, a la Boston Dynamic's Big Dog.

You wouldn't tell us the Black Mirror season 4 release date until well after we'd breathlessly covered each trailer.

Black Museum, directed by Colm McCarthy, and starring Douglas Hodge, Letitia Wright, and Babs Olusanmokun. The reasons are usually just creepy ones that say a lot about humanity's inherent failings.
