Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have travel nightmare on LAX flight

An airline says a Tokyo-bound flight returned to Los Angeles hours into the journey after the crew discovered that one of the passengers had boarded the wrong plane.

Teigen however, made a decision to have fun with the cards she was dealt, interacting with fans on social media, and giving a hilarious take on an otherwise painful ordeal. How is this the better idea, you ask? "We all have the same questions", she tweeted.

In the last 24 hours, Flightradar found that 10 flights (of about 150,000) had returned to their origin, for reasons including mechanical issues, weather, a disabled aircraft at the destination airport and, of course, a confused passenger.

"Taking off! Please don't be the same menu please don't be the same menu", she tweeted.

The typical duration of a flight from Los Angeles to Tokyo is 11 hours and 28 minutes. Although police haven't said exactly what the mix-up was, Teigen tweeted the unauthorized person had a United ticket, they were on ANA. "So basically the boarding pass scanner is just a beedoop machine that makes beedoop noises that register to nowhere", she added.

Officer injured after shootout with suspect at Phoenix apartment complex
Shortly after 10 p.m., the police Special Assignments Unit deployed a robot into the apartment and found that the baby was dead. Several hours later, he indicated he had killed the two children and began shooting at officers, authorities said.

Teigen also tweeted photos, videos and updates as they waited to resume the trip.

Roughly five hours after the whole mess started, Teigen said they were boarding a new plane. The total time for the flight to take off and return was just over eight hours. And the brunette beauty said she was feeling "forgiving", but had she been drinking, it could have gone very differently.

A statement from the airline says the pilot chose to return to the originating airport as part of the airline's security procedures.

A source told CNN that an authorized passenger was on the flight. ANA would like to express its apologies to the passengers for the inconvenience.
