Instagram's Feed to Now Show 'Recommended for You' Posts

This latest change to Instagram feeds is set to deliver lots of fresh content to users.

Big changes are coming for the ever-expanding Instagram app.

Instagram explained that the "recommended for you" section is now being rolled out to all iOS and Android users. The social networking site has labeled the new section as "Recommended for You" to easily understand that what is this section for. But, the company says that it won't just flood your main feed with recommended posts, and, this section will only pop up "after you've viewed all the posts in your feed". The photo-sharing platform has offered recommended content in the past.

It seems pretty similar to both the "Following" section, which shows what posts your friends are liking, and the "Search and Explore" section, where you can find photos and videos that you might like from accounts you don't yet follow. But under the new system the posts will show up in normal feed.

Many new app companies are looking to include algorithms for informational sources.

SoftBank acquires a 20 percent stake in Uber
In an earlier report in August , the paper said Uber was losing roughly $9,000 a auto , 18 times more than previously believed. However some Uber investors were concerned the price SoftBank was offering was too low , according to Recode .

Instagram is planning on bringing about a few changes to its online platform. This is nearly the same as the new "Explore Feed" that was launched by Facebook. This comes after Instagram announced a little more than two weeks ago that users can follow hashtags. Through this feature users will be able to follow interest like food, travel ideas etc.

This feature may already be in the works for several other smartphone applications. You can make unique hashtags while conducting these contests and events and those hashtags will keep all the contributions in one place.

It's very hard though to see why this could be a problem for anyone.

A Instagram spokesperson told TechCrunch that the "Recommended for You" section will not displace posts from people a user follows.

There's no doubt that there will be a number of users who will not like the "recommended posts" feature.
