Online programs in the University at Buffalo Graduate School of Education and School of Nursing were named to U.S. News & World Report's 2018 Best Online Programs rankings.

"The Best Online Programs rankings offer adults the information needed to identify programs that best suit their life and career goals", said Anita Narayan, managing editor of Education at U.S. News. EKU's online graduate education programs provide nine MAEd options including gifted, literacy and special education, as well as four options in MAT and multiple post-master's degree, certificate and endorsement preparation programs.

The University of Florida is the No. 1-ranked school in the Southeastern Conference for online bachelor's degree programs.

Additional categories considered in the rankings include faculty credentials and training, as well as student services and technology.

Virginia Tech has offered online and distance-learning education for two decades.

FAU's College of Education online master of education degree programs include Curriculum and Instruction offering specialization in multicultural education or TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages); Education Leadership, an adult and community education program with a focus on sustainability created to foster personal and community development; and Instructional Technology, a program providing knowledge and skills necessary to apply modern technology in educational and training settings.

Numerous graduate degree or certificate programs are available.
