Meghan Markle closes social media accounts after engagement to Prince Harry

Prince Harry and his fiancée, Meghan Markle, paid a visit Tuesday (while holding hands) to an urban radio station that provides media training for hundreds of youth each year.

Although the royal family does use social media in an official manner, none of the royals have their own personal social media accounts that we know of.

But Meghan Markle didn't start life as a royal.

"Ms. Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years", the palace statement said.

Real coach Zidane usually leaps to the defence of his players after negative results but he was not in a forgiving mood on Sunday.

Markle, 36, frequently posted photos of her home, her dogs, her travels and food on Instagram, and shared information about her activism and charitable work and other interests on Twitter.

The American actress closed her Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Instead, updates about their lives and careers are posted on one set of accounts, run by Kensington Palace.

The couple, stepping out for their second official event since announcing their engagement in November, headed to the Brixton neighborhood of south London to meet with the volunteers and staff of Reprezent FM. It appeared as though Markle took a page from future sister-in-law Kate Middleton's playbook, giving her look a polished effect with the addition of a tonally coordinated Jigsaw scarf. She recently moved from Toronto, where "Suits" is filmed, to London to live with Harry.

Us Weekly reports that Harry and Meghan are set to Wednesday in a televised ceremony at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.
