Mike Fisher's return to Predators will be exclusively an excellent factor

Mike Fisher has chose to come out of retirement and re-sign with the Nashville Predators. Wow.

Fisher said his six months of retirement included spending time with his wife, country superstar Carrie Underwood, and their 3-year-old son Isaiah, fishing and adjusting to life without a strict schedule, but he - and his family - missed the thrill of the game. He signed a professional tryout contract to work out with the Nashville Predators, the team with whom he played in last year's Stanley Cup Final.

Fisher shocked fans by telling them he'd be hanging up his skates after a solid 17 years in the National Hockey League.

The Predators shared the happy news on Twitter, writing, "SEE YOU AGAIN". "I'll get there, I'll get there". "I thought a lot about the run past year and what could be".

Fisher won't return to being the team's captain, with defenseman Roman Josi retaining that position, Poile said.

"I believe this team is built to win and has a very good chance, so that is part of the reason why I want to come back and compete and be a part of it", Fisher said.

Eugene Science Center hosts total lunar eclipse viewing party
Plan on a photographic moment as the moon rises above the Atlantic's horizon at 5:17 p.m. just before the sun sets at 6 p.m. If you miss Wednesday's lunar eclipse , you'll have to wait almost another year for the next one visible to North America.

And make no mistake, there is no doubt that Fisher will be in shape at some point before the February 26 deadline.

Fisher recorded 585 points (276 goals, 309 assists) in 1,088 games through 17 seasons with the Ottawa Senators, who selected him in the second round of the 1998 draft, and the Predators.

Indeed, Fisher intends to begin skating and working out on his own before joining the entire team for practices.

Shocking as it may be that Fisher has made a decision to return, though, that he'll enter the Predators' lineup again more than six months after he officially announced his 1,000-plus game career was over is only one aspect of his comeback. If Laviolette chooses to play Fisher down the middle, he'll be able to run a four-center group that consists of Ryan Johansen, Kyle Turris, Nick Bonino and Fisher. "And she's usually right".

The former Predators captain played seven seasons with the club, scoring 109 goals and 237 points.

No specific timetable was given for Fisher's return to game action.
