Hyundai Santa Fe Images Revealed

Hyundai is giving the world a glimpse of the all-new Santa Fe ahead of its debut later this spring at the Geneva motor show, replacing a model that has been on sale since 2012.

The new face - clearly inspired by the Kona - offers slim driving lights at the top and twin headlights beneath, a new cascading grille, statement wheelarches and a strong shoulder line. The model to be available in the USA will be gasoline-powered, a Hyundai executive said last month. The increased length and wheelbase providing what Hyundai claims is best-in-class legroom for the second row, while third-row headroom has also been increased.

Phil Mickelson, Matt Kuchar, Chesson Hadley and Bryson DeChambeau tied for fifth another shot off the pace. He went to the 18th hole needing to hole out on his second shot to do so but made double bogey instead.

Preorders will be received starting Wednesday, with the new Santa Fe to be released in South Korea in models with a 2.0-liter or 2.2-liter diesel engine or with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine, the company said in a statement. There's also a song identification feature, developed in conjunction with SoundHound. This enables the system to recognise more natural speech patterns, such as when asking for route guidance to a specific location. Among the list of new tech is a Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist system, which will apply the brakes if a rear collision appears likely. A new feature called Rear Occupant Alert will be included to remind a driver leaving the vehicle that someone is in the rear seats. Hyundai says it's the first time a Hyundai or Kia is fitted with such a system.

Those looking for more can opt for the Limited or the Ultimate model which will be coming in with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.
