Blackberry Likely to Launch Bezel-Less Model Ghost in India

According to a leak by famous tipster Evan Blass, The BlackBerry Ghost will be made by Optimeus and the device will be launched in India soon. Now, there seems to be one such device that is in the making and it is said to be dubbed BlackBerry Ghost. The company is yet to officially confirm BlackBerry "Ghost". He also tweeted an image of the yet-to-be announced smartphone. We have no idea how many units have been sold since the PRIV but we know there is still a market for such. Apart from TCL, the company also has agreements with BB Merah Putih for smartphone manufacturing and distribution in India. This isn't impossible for the company, to which Shah notes is still held back by consumers lacking the knowledge that BlackBerry Mobile and TCL have made the move to Android instead of its own operating system. For the company, things like "channel presence" - meaning, literally, how present its products are in the most direct sales channels to potential customers - are a more important metric than actual sales. As of now, the exact launch timeline of the upcoming BlackBerry Ghost has not been specified, however we can expect the premium smartphone launch in the next few months. What is known though is that it would be aimed at the premium segment and that it will incorporate a bezel-less design, besides being exclusive to the Indian market as well.

This high-end phone will be made by Indian telecommunications giant Optiemus after it acquired the license a year ago to develop and sell BlackBerry products in the country.

With BlackBerry, that could mean very differently to what's typically expected. Also, the phone, as per the leaked image doesn't follow the usual BlackBerry phone design. The telecom entered into a licensing agreement with BlackBerry past year.
