Miami nightclub closed after woman rides horse on dancefloor

The video shows a scantily-clad woman riding bareback on a white horse that appears to become unglued by the noise and the crowd. The horse eventually managed to right itself and police said later it was unharmed.

"We're looking at it from a city perspective in terms of licensing", Miami Beach Police Officer Ernesto Rodriguez said, according to local news outlet WSVN-TV. Images of a camel and a painted donkey were provided to CBS Miami.

A video shows the horse paraded into the venue being led by a handler with a little person and a young woman atop. "After this horse panicked, fell and landed on his back, the nightclubs license was pulled..."

Apparently agitated by the noise, the animal suddenly drops to the ground and throws the woman off. People gasp and scream, and the horse looks terrified, attempting to bite someone.

A horse walked into a club - no joke. There's no reports of serious injuries for the horse, rider or patrons. Fines can exceed $40,000 for repeated violations. It bashed Mokai for its involvement and asked the city to shut the lounge down.

He had one season remaining on a four-year, $56 million extension he signed in 2014 after the Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII. And Schefter says it's possible that Sherman, who grew up in California, will stay in the area after his visit.

"I was disgusted and offended that any legitimate businessperson would think this was an appropriate action to take", Morales told WPLG-TV. It's animal cruelty! I couldn't believe what happened there!

He said he supported the city manager's swift response to the incident.

CNN has reached out to Mokai Lounge for a statement.

"It is inhumane and the definition of animal cruelty".
