Staying unsettled and damp, with on and off light showers, Wednesday

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance for rain and a high near 58 degrees. Nights will have a cool edge as temperatures sink to the 50s and 40s.

Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast tonight as a warm front tracks east towards the region. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain light, generally a tenth of an inch of rain or so. Expect morning lows to start off in the lower 50s with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

The STORMTracker weather team will be here to update you on all the latest conditions. Isolated showers are possible early in the morning and then again late in the evening. Most areas will be dry but there is a chance for showers across Lamar, Fayette, Winston and Marion counties this afternoon as our next system gets closer. Best heavy rain threat will be northwest of the area, but can't totally remove the possibility in our area. Unsettled? Yes. Washouts or big storms? No.

And heralding a spell of good weather, to make up for all the rain, wind and snow we have endured for months, research excitingly titled the Pimms Summer Forecast brings good news.

This afternoon through Thursday midday: Northeasterly with a light to moderate breeze of 04 to 13 miles per hour.

27 reported missing in Russian shopping centre fire that killed 37
Ten people are still listed as missing. "No one knows exactly how many people there were inside when the fire broke out". Among those detained include "the tenant of the premises where the epicenter of the fire allegedly was", Petrenko said.

The clouds did not clear out as fast as we were hoping Tuesday and that kept temperatures cooler. There is a 20% chance for a few spotty showers tomorrow with a high of 64 degrees.

Our warming trend looks to continue as we step into mid-week along with more sunshine to be seen.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72.

The forecast for Thursday, March 29 calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 13 C and a low of 1 C with a chance of showers.
