Manchester City' star Kevin De Bruyne enjoying 'most complete season'

De Bruyne understands that Salah's remarkable goal tally could well result in the Egyptian pipping him to the post but he's happy to let the best man win.

With a Premier League-high 15 assists this season, the Belgium midfielder is held up as shining light in Guardiola's team of superstars, the Spanish coach's eyes and ears on the field.

The Belgium worldwide had been considered favourite for the award for most of the season but Salah's increasingly impressive goal tally has brought him into the mix.

And City know all too well the havoc they can cause as all three were on target in City's only league defeat of the season so far as Liverpool ran out 4-3 winners at Anfield in January.

Guardiola and De Bruyne had contrasting opinions over the events, with the Spaniard clearly riled up about the lack of intervention from police surrounding the entrance of the stadium. Nobody expected him to hit the ground running.

Belgium star De Bruyne is a lovely player to watch, he purrs around the pitch like a Bentley, whereas Salah has the appeal of a super sports auto.

"Breaking windows is probably not done but who am I to say something?"

When the midfielder returned to Chelsea, Mourinho held the reins.

In the statement , it said that Cunningham had in fact received an early promotion for his outstanding work. Cunningham also called his mother at 9:12 a.m. that day, but she did not answer, Atlanta police have said.

"However, it has been a first season wonder for Salah and I think it has been quite extraordinary for a player who isn't an out-and-out striker, which just makes it even more incredible".

De Bruyne and Salah will come face to face tomorrow night when their sides meet at Anfield in the first leg of their mouthwatering Champions League quarter final.

Salah is certainly bringing a feel-good factor to English football right now.

"The three in front, the way they play, they are so clinical", added Guardiola. "I don't look at what happened before, I wouldn't know how to choose anybody else, outside of Salah, if it's not our team".

It means De Bruyne and Silva will be feeding balls through to Gabriel Jesus instead of Aguero.

Had things worked out differently De Bruyne and Salah could have been teammates.

At 25 he is a year younger than De Bruyne and, whisper it gently, maybe he could even carry on progressing to enter the stratosphere Ronaldo and Messi now populate.
