Zidane: Real Madrid won't give Barcelona guard of honour

Zinedine Zidane has said his Real Madrid side will not be giving Barcelona a guard of honour at the Nou Camp for the next El Clasico on 6 May.

Zidane was referencing Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde's refused to give Real Madrid a guard of honour after they had won World Club Championship when the two sides met last December.

"I don't know how much you are going to ask me but my response is very clear".

"It is my decision and that is it".

However, reports of Liverpool manager replacing Zidane at the end of this season will have to wait as Spanish daily, Marca, claims Zidane is staying put.

"It was just to rest", Zidane said, explaining Ronaldo's withdrawal ahead of next week's Champions League quarter-final meeting with Juventus.

They weren't going to let that wonder of imagination go to waste, so have continued the story today.

Atletico are still without centre-back Jose Maria Gimenez who has a bruised foot so Juanfran Torres likely will continue at right-back with Sime Vrsaljko troubled with a hamstring problem.
