Malaysia police release actual photo of suspect in Palestinian lecturer's murder

Police today released the actual picture of one of the suspects wanted for the murder of Palestinian lecturer Dr Fadi M R Albatsh on Saturday.

Mohamad Fuzi also pointed out that the suspect could have changed his appearance since the police initiated the manhunt for him and his acquaintance.

"All exit points (out of the country) have been alerted and told that the two suspects must be arrested", he said.

The police chief said the suspects are believed to have entered Malaysia since the end of January until the time of the shootings.

"We will send some of the bullets collected to our analysis experts to determine what kind of weapon was used in this heinous killing", Mr Mohamad Fuzi said. "We are still investigating the background information of the other suspect", he told reporters at a press conference in relation to the investigation at Bukit Aman police headquarters, here today.

Abu Hussein's death brought the toll of Palestinians in Gaza killed by Israeli fire since March 30 to 41.

Abu Hussein will be buried in Gaza on Thursday.

Malaysian authorities blamed the killing on Europeans who were tied to a foreign intelligence agency.

This came during a meeting Netanyahu held with the family of an Israeli man the government says is held by Hamas in the Palestinian territory.

And while the government was always monitoring foreign agents, Ahmad Zahid said this was sometimes made hard when they use passports which have diplomatic relations with Malaysia.

"We have some difficulty in finding the culprits".

Israel's Mossad has been accused of several high-profile killings involving Palestinians around the world, although Israel has consistently denied the accusations.

Hamas, a militant group sworn to Israel's destruction, described Al Batch as a "commander" in its military wing and accused Israel of assassinating him.

A Palestinian journalist passed away on Wednesday after succumbing to wounds he sustained after being shot by Israeli forces while covering Gaza border protests on April 13.

The violence prompted Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn to call for a review of arms sales to Israel in a message condemning its "illegal and inhumane" killing and wounding of "yet more unarmed Palestinian protesters".

Israel says it has been warning Gazans not to approach the border fence and that it is doing what is necessary to stop the barrier from being damaged or breached.
