'Avengers: Infinity War' Box Office: A Rundown of the Records Broken

"Avengers: Infinity War" kicked off the summer movie season, giving Walt Disney Co. the largest North American and global debuts in history.

For context, the previous record in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for domestic sales on preview night was the last Avengers film, Age of Ultron, which raked in $26.7 million. Gosh! Rs 30 crore-plus is the historic box office figure of Hollywood film "Avengers: "Infinity War" for day 1 in India".

Dergarabedian added that "Infinity War" showcased the big screen experience in a way that audiences embraced, despite all of the competition from "an nearly infinite array of options for on-demand entertainment". As per the current scenario Avengers War has became the first Hollywood movie by breaking all new industry records. The early numbers are in for Infinity War in Canada, and they're appropriately historic.

Raking in $250 domestically, Infinity War was able to best Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248 million) by two million dollars. Avengers Infinity War released in theatres on April 27 in the U.S. and India while Australia and a few other countries got the chance to watch it a day earlier than everyone else. The film beat Baaghi 2 and Padmaavat to become the biggest opener in India, only showcasing the insane love the fans have for the Marvel films in India. A Quiet Place keeps rolling and landed in the #2 spot with a cumulative total of $148 million, which is pretty awesome for a movie with a $17 million budget.

However, it was Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas , who lost the most after a puncture ruined what looked like a win for sure. Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen took the second place while Force India's Sergio Perez took home the third place.

Disney is being more cautious and suggesting a domestic launch in the $225 million-$240 million range. A $300 million plus haul is expected from the global markets, meaning it would topple The Fate of the Furious' $541.9 million for the biggest worldwide opening in history.

And Marvel's still-strong superhero smash Black Panther held in at No. 5 in its 11th week in theaters with $4.4 million ($688 million total and $1.3 billion worldwide). It is one of only six films to have ever achieved more than $200m during their opening weekend.

A sequel to "Avengers: Infinity War" has even announced which will release in May 2019. Fourth place went to Rampage, which earned $7 million.
