Shehu Sani blows hot over Adamawa bomb blast

Abdullahi Yerima, police commissioner in Adamawa state, said a suicide bomber struck at the mosque at around 01:00 p.m. (1200 GMT) and a second bomber detonated a device some 200 metres (220 yards) away as worshippers fled. According to witnesses, the explosion was set off by a teenager using a suicide vest.

One resident, Isa Danladi, said he had been about to leave his house near the mosque when he heard the blast.

Earlier, more than 50 armed people reportedly invaded the Mbadwen village in Benue State and burned it down, leaving at least 35 people killed.

"The mosque's roof was blown off". The prayer was mid-way when the bomber detonated the explosives.

The blasts in the town of Mubi are believed to have been carried out by Boko Haram insurgents.

Haruna Hamman Furo, the head of the Adamawa state emergency management agency, described the attack as "devastating".

Trump is also facing a NY defamation lawsuit filed by Summer Zervos, a former contestant on "The Apprentice". An attorney representing Trump in another legal matter in NY did not respond to an email seeking comment.

"It was a twin-blast and the detail is sketchy but we are in touch with our partners of Red Cross and others that are helping now". Right now we are on our way to Mubi, " he said.

So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but it fits the pattern of Boko Haram terror activity in the region which has taken hundreds of lives over the years.

It was the second time in six months that dozens have been killed in an attack on a Mubi mosque.

The military and civilian militia ousted the extremists from the town, which is a commercial hub near the border with Cameroon.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who took office in 2015 with a promise to end Boko Haram's push to create an Islamic state in the northeast, has said he wants to seek another term.

There have been repeated suicide bombings in the area, which lies close to the Sambisa Forest in Borno where the militants had a base.
