LG G7 ThinQ, G7+ ThinQ are official now

LG has launched a new flagship smartphone that it claims has a far brighter screen than rivals, making it easier to see in sunlight. Bear in mind the smartphone features a 19.5:9 LCD screen with a 3,120 x 1,440 resolution and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Users can even change the color of the notification bar. It also meets MIL-STD 810G requirements. The LG G7 ThinQ comes with an iPhone X-like notch on top of the display. Of course, there's an option to hide the notch like most Android phones. All this is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 via USB Type-C port. The G7 gets a primary 16MP f/1.6 camera and a secondary 16MP f/1.9 shooter with a wide 107-degree angle. At the back, right below the dual camera set up is the fingerprint sensor housed in a circular module. The AI CAM now offers 19 shooting modes, up from eight. This should make it easier for users to capture the best photo possible without having to mess around with the settings.

LG has been something of a dark horse when it comes to premium smartphones. According to LG, this is achieved through the combination of pixel binning and software processing.

The camera also now has a portrait mode that blurs the background behind the photographer's subject to create a 'bokeh' effect.

The wide lens uses a dimmer f/1.9 lens, has no OIS and is fixed focus.
