Five 'most wanted' ISIS leaders CAPTURED in Iraq

They were named as Saddam al-Jammel, Mohammed al-Qadeer, Ismail al-Eithawi, Omar al-Karbouli and Essam al-Zawbai.

One of the men was a top aide to ISIS' leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, according to two Iraqi officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the Straits Times reported.

The US-led coalition supported Iraqi ground forces and Syrian fighters known as the Syrian Democratic Forces in the more than three- year war against ISIS.

After Iraqi forces retook the Iraqi city of Mosul from ISIS last summer, Syrian forces on the other side of the border claimed a series of swift victories, but the campaign stalled recently when Turkey launched a cross-border raid into Syria's north.

"The noose is tightening around him", Hashimi said, referring to Baghdadi.

Reuters said Iraqi state TV showed the five men in yellow prisoner outfits and called them "some of the most wanted" leaders of the group.

Polanski slams #MeToo as 'collective hysteria' and 'hypocrisy'
The academy's board of governors cited their "Standards of Conduct" in the announcement regarding Cosby and Polanski's removal. Polanski, who called the decision last week "the height of hypocrisy", is set to appeal, his lawyer said.

Following the capture, intelligence agents from both Iraq and the United States uncovered bank accounts used by the Islamic State and also secret communication codes used by Eithawi.

Donald Trump has tweeted to say that the five most wanted leaders of ISIS have been captured.

On April 30, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi pledged to continue airstrikes on Daesh positions and headquarters inside neighboring Syria but stressed that Baghdad would not infringe upon the sovereignty of the Damascus government.

On December 9, 2017, Abadi declared the end of military operations against Daesh in Iraq. Adrian J.T. Rankine-Galloway, said the US credited Iraqi security forces with the militants' capture "on the Iraq-Syria border".

There are some 5,000 USA troops in Iraq training the country's military.
