Lethal Weapon Season 3 Renewed With Seann William Scott Replacing Clayne Crawford

"Matt Miller (showrunner), his incredible team and everyone at Warner Bros. have been tremendous partners, and we're thrilled to bring this show back for another season".

FOX has chose to renew its action drama series Lethal Weapon for a third season, but it's not exactly that cut and dry. Instead, Seann William Scott has been cast as "a new character who folds into a partnership with Murtaugh (Damon Wayans)", leaving this Lethal Weapon TV series without a Riggs. Television added that the studio had "decided not to renew Clayne Crawford's contract for 'Lethal Weapon, '" following incidents of bad behavior on the Fox action drama's set, for which he apologized.

Crawford was dismissed from the series after a repeated showing of what execs and producers characterized as "repeated instances of emotional abuse of cast and crew members", that dated back several months. The first two seasons are available to stream on Hulu.

Lethal Weapon recently showcased the plot line for Clayne Crawford's exit in the May 8 Season 2 Finale. Another said, "That no official words have been spoken, just rumors spread by the tabloids". He is to play a new character opposite series regular Damon Wayans in the series based on the film franchise of the same name. Clayne had been disciplined twice for poor behaviour, both incidences saw him reacting with anger to situations which led to him seeking therapy and, on one occasion, donate a portion of his pay packet to the other party. "I an incredibly sorry if my passion for doing good work has ever made anyone feel less than comfortable on our set, or feel less than celebrated for their efforts". It seems FOX has chose to do the latter, and Seann William Scott has landed his first-ever network series role.
