Kristen Stewart Defies Cannes' Strict Red Carpet Policy

In case you don't remember, the French film festival's ridiculous ban on flat shoes made headlines in 2015 when a group of women were barred from entering for not wearing heels!

Fortunately, the large jewels scattered across the frock protected her modesty and added a touch of glamour to the look.

The Cannes red carpet has become infamous in recent years for its high heels only policy, with actresses speaking out against it.

Kristen, who is a member of the Cannes female jury panel, attended a premiere of Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman on Monday evening and arrived in a pair of towering Christian Louboutin stilettos. At a roundtable discussion, she had said, "There's definitely a distinct dress code".

Stewart later addressed the saga while talking to The Hollywood Reporter, saying, "If you're not asking guys to wear heels and a dress, you cannot ask me either".

Kristen has never been the type to follow rules which is one of the reason why we all love her. "I get the black-tie thing but you should be able to do either version-flats or heels".

Colliding Red Bulls free to race in Spain but face close scrutiny
Jenson Button believes Daniel Ricciardo is fortunate to be in demand and wants to see the Red Bull driver at Ferrari next season. Ricciardo suggested the different feel of the auto was a contributing factor to his Turn 4 crash during the first session.

"It's just like you simply can not ask me to do something that you are not asking him".

In the past she has spoken out against the different regulations for men and women.

Recently, the late actor was also prestigiously honored with the Best Actress award for her performance in Mom at the 65th National Film Awards.

Kristen appeared in the trilogy Twilight, a fantasy film based on the series of books by Stephanie Meyer.

The former child star has had other roles in Snow White and the Huntsman, Personal Shopper, What Just Happened and K-11.
