Richie Incognito was involved in an altercation with another man at an upscale Florida gym - with the alleged victim claiming Incognito threw a dumbbell at him. and cops were called.

Per TMZ Sports, the National Football League offensive lineman was accused of throwing a dumbbell at a man, and police officers placed him on an involuntary psychiatric hold for a mental evaluation.

A spokesperson for the Boca Raton gym told the Palm Beach Post that police were called to remove Incognito from the premises, saying that he "will not be welcomed back" and adding, "For us, it's a matter of making sure we are creating a safe and respectful environment for our club".

Incognito was an All-Big 12 pick in 2003 but was kicked off the team by new head coach Bill Callahan in the fall of 2004. Police say he could be there anywhere from 24 to 72 hours.
