Twitter reacts to Kate Spade's sudden death

Spade was found hanged in the bedroom of her Park Avenue apartment Tuesday morning in an apparent suicide, law enforcement officials said.

An investigation into the death is underway and a medical exam will determine the cause of death, said police. "Our thoughts are with Andy and the entire Spade family at this time".

She was 55 years old and had a 13-year-old daughter.

She was working at the fashion magazine Mademoiselle when she launched her company with husband Andy in 1993.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America hailed Spade's work. "More personal", she said. They were colourful, bold, cheerful, and encouraged women to find the twinkly person inside them.

Her designs represented the NY aesthetic - a mix of modern and classic. They said through a spokesman that they loved Kate dearly and will miss her terribly. "She was too young to go". While working for Mademoiselle, she had noticed that the market lacked stylish and sensible handbags, and she made a decision to create her own.

The former Leeds youth-team players Danny Rose and Delph will start, while Harry Maguire will join Phil Jones in a back three. One of the keys of us getting through these two matches was to try and make sure every member of our squad gets game time.

Her time at the magazine made her attuned to the wants of customers, so she set out to design "the ideal handbag" - and ones that were reasonably priced as well - using cheaper fabrics such as grosgrain and nylon. Liz Claiborne acquired the company in 2007, the same year Spade left her namesake brand.

The company was sold to luxury company Coach, which changed its company name to Tapestry, in 2017 for $2.4 billion.

Chelsea Clinton tweeted that her "grandmother gave me my first Kate Spade bag when I was in college". I still have it. In one post he wrote: "Fuzzy picture but I love it. Kate and I during Christmas family photos".

A note found near Kate Spade's body was addressed to her daughter, TMZ reported. "She had a quirky visual language that captivated Bat Mitzvah girls and artists alike", Lena Dunham tweeted. She also shared about her personal style and philosophies in her three books: Manners, Occasions, and Style. In the meantime, we send out condolences to her family. "It's amusing how a purse can instantly make you feel like an adult".
