In a neat trick often overlooked by many developers, Bethesda is also equipping Blades to run equally smoothly in both landscape and portrait modes.

In the spirit of Fallout Shelter and Elder Scrolls Legends, Elder Scrolls: Blades is a mobile app taking place in the universe of one of Bethesda's great franchises.

Howard even jokes that it's the flawless game to secretly play while in a meeting or other situations where it's OK to use a phone but not OK to play. In fact, the entire game is online, and while you can experience the campaign alone, Fallout 76 lets you jump into an online world with about a dozen other players, teaming up to defeat bad guys and complete quests, or nuking each other from across the map. Since it's a next-gen game it should arrive on Sony's new PlayStation 5 or Microsoft's upcoming Xbox hardware and may even push both to their limits. Rrrriight? OK? Sure. The big takeaway is that character progression won't be lost when you die and Howard has said that it's a "softcore survival game", whatever that means.

Announcing DOOM Eternal, the direct sequel to the award-winning and best-selling DOOM (2016). Bethesda always comes correct when it comes to producing real-life versions of items from the games this year is no different. We haven't seen procedurally-created dungeons since The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the very first game in the series-a detail that Todd Howard himself mentioned.

It's starting out as a mobile-only game, but it will eventually be brought to consoles, PC, and VR systems.

It's a free game coming to Android and iOS devices this fall, but you can pre-register for the game for early access right now from either your device or from Bethesda's official website.
