Children Separated From Parents At The Border Heard In Heartbreaking New Audio

Former first ladies Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama provided a signal boost on Monday to another former first lady, Laura Bush, for her opinion piece slamming the Trump administration's practice of separating families at the border.

Trump has repeatedly, falsely asserted that a law passed by Democrats is to blame for the family-separation policy.

In this same vein, 67 percent of those polled believe illegal immigrants now residing in the country should be allowed to stay and eventually apply for citizenship while 19 percent say they should be forced to leave. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Attorney General Jeff Sessions have defended the administration's policies saying they are merely enforcing the law.

"This must not be who we are as a nation", Representative Jerrold Nadler said, one of seven members of congress from NY and New Jersey who met with five detainees inside the facility, including three who said they had young relatives removed from their care after seeking asylum at the border.

"Ripping vulnerable little children away from their parents is an utter atrocity that debases America's values and our legacy as a beacon of hope, opportunity and freedom", she said Monday. She said "the USA government "should not be in the business of warehousing children in converted box stores or making plans to place them in tent cities in the desert outside of El Paso".

If these adults have brought children with them, when they are arrested, those kids have to be taken into the care of the authorities.

In a joint letter to Trump, Nelson and other senators called separating families at the border "unethical, ineffective and inhumane".

"We don't want what is happening with immigration in Europe to happen with us!"

Manchester City fans though are not too happy about travelling on the opening as well as closing day of the season. That work has still to be completed, with Premier League chiefs giving Spurs an away start at Newcastle.

Some 2,000 migrant children have been separated from their families in the past six weeks following Donald Trump's crackdown on illegal border crossings.

He tweets, "Has anyone been looking at the Crime taking place south of the border", calling it "historic". Voters couldn't agree with her more, and responded to her touching op-ed on Twitter. "I hate it", he said.

"People on all sides agree that our immigration system isn't working, but the injustice of zero tolerance is not the answer", she writes.

She compared it to the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II.

First Lady Melania Trump, an immigrant, "hates to see" other immigrants have their children ripped out of their arms and stored in former Walmarts.

President Donald Trump is rejecting criticism that his "zero-tolerance" immigration policy has caused family separations at the USA southern border, pointing to crime in Germany and gangs in the U.S.as the reason tough laws are necessary.

The Rev. Franklin Graham, a longtime Trump ally, called the policy "disgraceful".

Children who've been taken into custody rest in one of the cages at a facility in McAllen, Texas, on Sunday. "I think we've made it abundantly clear that the daylight exists between Democrats and Congress and their ability to change this law", she said.
