Ex-Real Boss: Los Blancos Should Sign This Star Instead Of Neymar

Ex-Real Boss: Los Blancos Should Sign This Star Instead Of Neymar

Juventus have made a sensational bid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

Real Madrid on Wednesday (Jul 4) denied media reports they have made a bid for Paris Saint-Germain's teenage striker Kylian Mbappe, who is emerging as one of the biggest stars of the Russia World Cup.

Ronaldo hinted after the Champions League triumph against Liverpool in May that his future could lie away from the Bernabeu but this news has still come out of the blue slightly.

Despite the glut of silverware, however, the five-times world player of the year has endured frequent fallouts with Real and has declared on several occasions that he wants to leave the club.

However, Ronaldo backtracked on those comments in the days following, and has not spoken about his club future since.

The Portugal forward was reported to be on the verge of leaving last June after a news story appeared in Portuguese newspaper Record declaring he was unhappy with the club. It's been really attractive to play for Real Madrid.

Ronaldo won his fifth Champions League title with Madrid in May.

Real Madrid issued their denial after Spanish sports dailies Marca and AS ran articles citing the posting.

He then converted a stoppage-time penalty in the second leg to knock the Italians out 4-3 on aggregate.

The France global, who has scored three goals at the 2018 FIFA World Cup so far, joined Les Parisiens from Monaco in August 2017, in an initial loan deal that will be worth a reported €170 million (R2.71 billion) once it is made permanent. Portugal's desire to go past the round of 16 however hit the rocks after they were edged out by Uruguay, following a 2-1 defeat.
