Rockets lose Cameroon’s Mbah a Moute, seek Carmelo

Oklahoma City's Carmelo Anthony (7) holds the ball as Houston's PJ Tucker (4) defends during an NBA basketball game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Monday, Dec. 25, 2017. The native of Cameroon spent the 2015-16 and 16-17 seasons with the Clips before signing with the Rockets as a free agent prior to this past season.

That duo served as two of the Rockets' best defenders, with the ability to match up with guards and forwards in the team's switch-heavy scheme.

Anthony is now a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder, but the two sides are reportedly working on parting ways, whether through a trade, a buyout or waiving via the stretch provision.

For the season, Green averaged 2.7 3-pointers made in 22.7 minutes per game.

First person removed from Thai cave on second day of rescue mission
Authorities temporarily stopped their efforts Monday to replenish air tanks along the cave's treacherous exit route. Extracting everyone could take up to four days, but the initial success has raised hopes that could be done.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Carmelo Anthony has waived his no-trade clause and has begun meeting (with the Thunder's permission) with teams interested in acquiring his services this summer. Anthony is now in the twilight of his career, barely shooting 40 percent from the field with the Thunder past year and averaging a career low in points while putting in his usual effort, or lack thereof, on defense.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra advocates signing Anthony, according to the ESPN report. The Rockets need Capela if they want to remain an elite contender in the West.

The Rockets are expected to vigorously pursue Anthony to replace Trevor Ariza, who signed with Phoenix. He's averaged 24.1 points over 15 National Basketball Association seasons, but winning in the postseason has been one thing Anthony has always struggled to do.
