Community members are calling for a Brooklyn nail salon to close its doors for good after a brawl there Friday was caught on video. When Lin called police, the salon workers tried to keep the customers inside the salon. She was released on her own recognizance after a hearing at Brooklyn Criminal Court, according to the Post.

"What I'm here to do right now is to get justice for my 58-year-old mother, my 21-year-old daughter, that had acetone thrown on them and got beat with sticks like they are in the 1960s", Abby Moses, the mother of 21-year-old Christina Thomas-the customer involved in the fracas-said at the protest, according to the Times.

The reason for Anthony Martial 's absence from Manchester United's clash with Bayern Munich has been revealed after much speculation.

A nail salon erupted in violence on Friday, with a grandmother and two other customers attacked with a broomstick, believed to be over an eyebrow wax gone wrong. From there, one of the employees, Huiyue Zhing, attacks Thomas with a blue broomstick. Surveillance footage obtained by the New York Daily News and other media outlets begins in the middle of the confrontation, when a woman in a manicurist's smock is already pointing what looks like a broom handle at two black women.

Thomas was also charged with a misdemeanor assault.

It's unclear when the salon will reopen and so far, no additional arrests have been made. Police escorted workers out of the establishment for their safety, the Post reports.

There is a man holding one of the women as the workers attack at the New Red Apple Nails on Norstrand Avenue in East Flatbush. But police were ready for protesters and were inside the business when they arrived at about 6:30 p.m.

Similar comments appeared on a livestream of the protests taking place outside the salon. "Anytime a store doesn't respect us, we're going to shut it down". Several people held signs stating "Black $$$ matters" and chanted "black dollars matter".
