Bethenny Frankel's Off-Again Boyfriend Dennis Shields Found Dead In Trump Tower

Dennis Shields, the on-again, off-again boyfriend of Real Housewives of NY star Bethenny Frankel, has died of a suspected overdose, according to multiple news reports.

According to the New York Post, Dennis died of a suspected overdose. He asked his assistant to administer Narcan, medication used to reverse the effects of opioids, about 9 a.m., the Post reported.

We're told the NY medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death, although it is believed drugs were involved.

She spoke about her relationship with Shields, who she met 30 years ago, to People magazine in May. The office will release a cause of death after the investigation is complete.

Chicharito added: "The manager called me before the World Cup because he knew my situation was hard at the end of last season, and he made me feel very good".

Our thoughts are with Dennis' loved ones at this time. Naturally, Bethenny's RHONY best friend, Sonja, issued the longest statement in an exclusive interview with Radar Online on the same day Dennis passed away.

During a May TV appearance on the Steve Harvey Show, Bethenny opened up about her relationship with Dennis.

Representatives for Frankel did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment. "So both partners have to say, 'All right, I'm in it for this", said Frankel. Here's hoping that - despite the rift that has gone down between Carole Radziwill, other New York Housewives, and Bethenny this season - her cast members will rally around her in the wake of this tragic news.

"We're trying to really kind of be good parents and good teammates and I think relationships oddly are - and this sounds cold - but a bit like business", she added. "This saddens me to no end because it seems to be never-ending for her". If both people aren't happy about it but slightly uncomfortable and giving up something or giving in (to) something, it doesn't work.
