Everton have entered the running to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko before Thursday's deadline, according to reports in Italy.

The France global has been involved in Chelsea's pre-season under new manager Maurizio Sarri and started in their last friendly on Tuesday night against Lyon at Stamford Bridge.

He signed Jorginho from Napoli in a five year deal valued around €57 million, while Mateo Kovacic joined on loan from Real Madrid.

AC Milan, on the other hand, are looking to add a player of Bakayoko's quality to their side after an already impressive transfer window which has seen them acquire Gonzalo Higuain and Mattia Caldara from Juventus.
