Apple Will Introduce The Latest iPhone on September 12

The all-things-Apple website offered what it was calling an exclusive look at the new 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED iPhones called the iPhone XS. All three devices will have facial recognition and edge-to-edge screens like the iPhone X, but the two premium models will have OLED screens, while the cheaper phone will use LCD technology, Bloomberg News has reported. The new Apple Watch models will include larger screens that cover almost the entire front of the watch.

Apple is expected to bring a new Apple Watch with at least a larger display, and perhaps other new features (longer battery life, perhaps?).

The AppleWatch will reportedly receive a bigger screen without increasing the overall casing size, while the iPad Pro should also be upgraded to lost their home buttons and feature Face ID.

Previously, iPhone rumors called these phones the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Plus, and the cheaper iPhone 9.

In addition to the image, today's report claims that these new iPhones will both be known as "iPhone XS". Anyway, here they are, one on top of the other, in the first leaked render depicting two thirds of Apple's 2018 iPhone lineup.

Invites have just been sent out to the world's media with the major keynote event taking place on Wednesday, September 12.

Wednesday 12 September at 10am PDT (which means 5pm GMT). Reports suggest that the new A12 chipset will be 20 per cent faster and consume 40 per cent less power. We're expected the new iPhones to have three color options: gold, white, and black.

Documents filed at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission unsealed earlier this year showed Apple had sought approval for a gold version of its iPhone X, but it never released the color. New Apple Watches with larger screens are also said to be on the docket. The globe appears to be a new complication, perhaps tied to some of Apple's astronomical faces.
