OnePlus 6T Will Launch In a Few Months - Here’s What You’ll Get

OnePlus has confirmed that its next phone, the OnePlus 6T, will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. Unlike previous leaks and rumors, this time the information comes straight from OnePlus itself. It will rely on Face Unlock and the new tech in-display fingerprint sensor instead to lock/unlock the phones.

OnePlus has named the new feature Screen Unlock and it is expected to help OnePlus minimize screen bezel and remove the inconveniences of a rear-positioned fingerprint scanner.

The company said that the technology reduces the steps required to unlock the phone, when paired with Face Unlock, the whole process is more efficient.

It was only last week that a leaked image of the OnePlus 6T's packaging revealed a major feature: fingerprint on display.

"Heartbroken" Ariana Grande Posts Mac Miller Tribute Following Ex’s Death
Sure enough, there it was the next morning - she's had to disable her Instagram comments over trolls blaming her for his death. Apparently speechless, the singer was only able to post a simple, black-and-white photo of the rapper without a caption.

And now the outlet has claimed the OnePlus 6T will tout futuristic fingerprint scanning technology when it debuts. The OnePlus 6T will also be company's first flagship smartphone to be sold in the United States by T-Mobile. Other companies like Vivo and Huawei have already used fingerprint on display in some of their phones, but it still has yet to take off in a big way. We don't yet know what will be the objective of the third camera: it could be a telephoto lens, a super wide-angle lens or a dedicated black-and-white shooter (our bet is on a tele lens). If the company decides to introduce in-display fingerprint sensors, they will have a tough time going back to LCD panels.

It seems that OnePlus wants to make the most of its deal with T-Mobile by making OnePlus 6T a device that would be hard to resist.

OnePlus went on to say to CNET that they originally intended for the technology to be added to the 5T but at that stage it was not mature enough to be able to be relied upon. Evidently, OnePlus has been accused of taking design inspirations from Oppo phones in the past as well. Apart from improvements in camera and software under the hood, OnePlus 6T is expected to come with better battery life as well.
