I Believe In Maurizio Sarri's Philosophy, Chelsea Defender Insists

Mark Lawrenson is tipping Chelsea FC to claim a 3-0 win over Cardiff City in their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

CHELSEA manager Maurizio Sarri can "make history" at the club with the players he has at his disposal.

The Blues have looked revitalised since Sarri replaced Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge and are yet to drop a point in the Premier League.

"In a few days, one week, he will be ready to play".

All of Chelsea's other first-team players have returned back from the worldwide break unscathed, although they will need to be assessed for fatigue by Sarri. Davide Zappacosta and Emerson Palmieri are both also doubtful with knocks.

The ex-Napoli manager also mentioned that he sees the title battle this campaign firmly between Pep Guardiola's Citizens or Jurgen Klopp's Reds, before emphasising that Chelsea still need to step it up a gear in order to match their opponents' level.

"I think Federation Internationale de Football Association has to change something for the national teams, because with four or five worldwide breaks it is very hard for us. It's very hard. The gap last season was 30 points (between fifth-place Chelsea's 70 and City's 100) so to go above 30 points in one season is very, very hard".
