Heat at top of Jimmy Butler's trade wish list

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Timberwolves are asking for proven veterans, future assets, cap space and prospects. But that has proven to be "too steep" for teams interested in making a deal, including the Heat.

Head coach Tom Thibodeau is probably Butler's biggest fan in the world and has coached him on two different teams. Thibodeau now may be looking to restock the cupboard, and won't rush to make a bad deal for a player he believes is among the NBA's best.

Teams all around the league reportedly have shown interest in dealing for Butler, including the Rockets as the latest to emerge as a candidate.

Butler is still in Minneapolis working out while the rest of the team is in California to start the preseason. That came in a report from Marc Stein of the New York Times in which he cited National Basketball Association sources. The four-time All Star has indicated to the Minnesota Timberwolves that Miami is his preferred trade destination. Meanwhile, there have been numerous reports that Thibodeau and his assistant, general manager Scott Layden, have been dragging their feet on trading Butler and ignoring an directive from owner Glen Taylor to get a trade done.

Arsenal continue progress under Emery
I am of course talking about Dominic Calvert-Lewin's early chance, which was coolly swept away by the long legs of Cech. Pickford's search for a clean sheet continued when Lacazette broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second half.

Conflicting reports came out last week as ESPN reported Minnesota's front office was shutting down trade requests from other teams.

If the Heat are able to get this deal done, not only will Butler be walking into South Beach satisfied, he will be walking into a championship organization run by Pat Riley.

This puts the Clippers, Knicks, and Nets in an undesirable situation.
