Cristiano Ronaldo finally reacts to rape allegation

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo denied allegations that he raped a woman in Las Vegas in 2009, calling it fake news. Her current suit is seeking to void that agreement.

She told the outlet she didn't want to relive her trauma in court, so they settled on their own.

Monday's statement concludes by saying Mayorga hopes to encourage victims to report assaults "no matter how famous, wealthy or powerful they may appear to be". Yeah, it's part of the job'.

"I'm a happy man and all good".

"(The report) violates the personal rights of our client Cristiano Ronaldo in an exceptionally serious way", Shertz's statement said. Schertz says they will sue Der Spiegel although did not follow through with similar threats when the magazine first reported the non-disclosure agreement previous year [2017].

Ms Mayorga, now a school teacher, claims Ronaldo asked her to perform a sex act on him in the bathroom before raping her in the bedroom. (...) And she can't even get out of bed some days.

According to the lawsuit, filed at the weekend (NZT) Ronaldo apologised afterwards, "stating he was sorry, he was usually a gentleman".

The 33-year-old father-of-four claims that the story is "fake news". Kathryn Mayorga claims that she met Cristiano during a night out at the Palms Hotel and Casino, and he allegedly invited her and her friends back to his hotel room.

One of the lawyers said the Der Siegel article was "an inadmissible reporting of suspicions in the area of privacy", Reuters reported.

Taking to Instagram Live on Saturday, Ronaldo said: "No, no, no, no, no".

Later, Ronaldo allegedly paid her £287,000 as an out-of-court settlement which contracted her to never speak about her claims.

Mayorga said she called Vegas cops and went to a hospital where evidence of the alleged rape was documented and photographed. He has been named player of the year five times and transferred to Juventus from Real Madrid this summer for 100-million euros.

However, the lawsuit then alleges that Ronaldo's team hired "fixers" to shadow her, stalk her, and dig up dirt in a bid to discredit any potential criminal case. "I've had like these serious breakdowns", she told the magazine.

Lawyers for Ronaldo, one of the world's best-known athletes, on Friday threatened to sue a German magazine that published the accusation.
