Children carry flags as they greet USA first lady Melania Trump on arrival in Accra, Ghana, on October 2, 2018. She also watched a nurse demonstrate how vitamins are administered to babies by mouth and toured the neonatal intensive care unit.

Her trip is expected to include a bevy of visits to schools, shelters and hospitals while she focuses on the well-being of children.

It is her first global trip without her husband Donald Trump who has yet to visit the continent nearly two years into his mandate.

It's a very, very bad day for us", Shaw added, before letting rip on United's players in no uncertain terms whatsoever. They are 14th in La Liga with just one win in their opening seven games but have only lost once.

Melania moved to the United States in 1996 to pursue her modelling career and became a U.S. citizen in 2006 after she married Donald Trump in 2005.

She has previously travelled alone to Canada and joined her husband on several foreign visits.

Mrs Trump announced her visit at a reception for spouses of world leaders, held on the sidelines of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly, in NY.

Commuters were caught on camera looking on without any interest in the First Lady as documented by Jennifer Jacobs, White House reporter for Bloomberg News. The first lady will also highlight the role Washington plays in helping each country, according to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which helped to coordinate the trip.
