Amy Schumer arrested for opposing Kavanaugh`s nomination

In a statement, the US Capitol Police said that 293 people were arrested for "unlawfully demonstrating" in the buildings and another nine for "crowding, obstructing, and incommoding", reports Efe news. The cable network's reporter said Schumer was seen "being arrested". Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegations since they first arose, and did so again during his testimony at last week's hearing.

"Let's stay together. Let's fight". However, after police blockaded the steps, protesters headed to the atrium of the Hart Senate Office Building. "I demand from the government the same understanding, respect and support women, like men", wrote Ratkowski in Instagram. Men that hurt women can't hold managerial positions.

Video of Amy Schumer, who was leading the discourse, shows her verbally consenting to her own arrest, as an officer leads her through the rapidly-dispersing crowd.

Earlier in the day, Schumer attended the #CANCELKAVANAUGH protest outside the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse, with the likes of Lena Durham and Whoopi Goldberg.

Thousands of women turned out to protest his nomination in Washington yesterday - with actress Amy Schumer among hundred arrested.

"Bravery is contagious", "Stop Kavanaugh,", "Kavanaugh has to go", and "We don't want rapists in court", were the most recurring slogans during the march.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal ahead of Friday's procedural vote in the Senate on his nomination, Mr Kavanaugh acknowledged he said a few things he should not have.

Ratajkowski also took to Twitter to share her arrest. How about we show her the same courtesy and direct some of that toxic energy to the people who deserve it.
