Images surface of Saudis allegedly sent to target writer

Turkish officials believed that 59-year-old Khashoggi, also a Washington Post contributor, was murdered inside the consulate. The Saudis wanted to lure Khashoggi back to Saudi Arabia and lay hands on him there, this person said.

Pro-government Turkish newspaper Sabah yesterday published the names and photographs of 15 nationals who flew in on the day of his disappearance.

"It points to the idea that whatever has happened to him, the Saudis - I mean, they've got some explaining to do", Corker said in a Daily Beast report.

Khashoggi had written a series of columns for the Washington Post that were critical of Saudi Arabia's assertive Prince Mohammed, who has led a widely publicized drive to reform the conservative Sunni monarchy but has also presided over the arrests of activists and businessmen. The unnamed official who spoke to the Times said it was "like "Pulp Fiction" in its gruesomeness.

Turkish police were looking into two private aircraft which landed at Istanbul's Ataturk airport on October 2 at different times carrying 15 people of interest in the case, as well as the possibility that Khashoggi was kidnapped and taken aboard one of the planes, local media reported. They did not disclose how they were obtained. Meanwhile, questions remain about the circumstances of Khashoggi's disappearance, including whether or not he is even still alive. Twelve of them arrived early on Tuesday, based on photos captured at passport control which it published.

Saudi Arabia's top leadership ordered the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Turkish officials said according to an explosive new report by The New York Times.

The images themselves do not offer proof of Khashoggi's alleged fate but it puts additional pressure on the kingdom to disprove them amid growing global concern over an apparent crackdown on dissent.

But how does it work, exactly? "We support student-led efforts to promote and raise awareness about the importance of the flu". Barry writes in "The Great Influenza", the laws also were used to keep information about the flu from scaring the public.

The case surrounding Jamal Khashoggi, the missing Washington Post columnist who disappeared after entering a Saudi consulate in Istanbul, raised more concerns after mounting evidence suggested he was murdered.

The kingdom has called the allegations "baseless", but has not provided any evidence that Khashoggi left the consulate and did not respond to requests for comment Wednesday. "In reality, neither Saudi Arabia nor any other producer has such a capability", he added.

Khashoggi, 59, who was once close to the Saudi royal family and has served as an adviser for senior Saudi officials, left the country past year to live in the United States in self-imposed exile, saying he feared retribution for his criticism of Saudi policy in the Yemen war and its crackdown on dissent. Trump heaped praise on Prince Mohammed when he made a three-week visit to the US last March, saying the Saudi king had made a "very wise decision" in choosing the prince to succeed him. He said his aides have been in contact with Khashoggi's fiancee, Hatice Cengiz, and hope to set up a meeting with her at the White House.

"We can not let this happen to reporters, to anybody", Mr Trump said on Wednesday. "We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as available", White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

Cengiz also called on Saudi Arabia, King Salman, and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to "show the same level of sensitivity and release CCTV footage from the consulate".

Spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said the U.S.is continuing to monitor the unfolding investigation in Istanbul, but offered no information about what the crown prince told the USA officials regarding Khashoggi's disappearance.

All three officials pressed MBS, as the Crown Prince is known, for more details and urged his government to support a transparent investigation, Sanders added.
